What's been going on...

I admit it, I've been a terribly blogger.

Do I get any marks for the other writing I've been doing...working on a novel, laying out plans for a new business year?

Not to mention planning my next trip to Mexico, which I leave Saturday. I've not "blogged" in so long, I feel kind of "clogged"...clogged with ideas and the need -- yes, the need -- for writing.

None of which makes a lo tof difference given the terror that has happened in London. I am saddened for the loss and I wonder what this means for the rest of us as we watch yet another terror spree unfold. What is so maddening is that the summit whose work to end poverty and other important world issues has to be stopped to deal with the insistence of those who has bombed London.

Some good news -- finishing my business year with the 4 best months of my entire career. This has encouraged me to think bigger and reach higher than ever before. (And save some $$$).

More good news -- Dan heard today of an offer for work. I sense the relief in him and I am happy that we've soldiered through this time together -- always together. My husband and familiy are more precious to me than ever before and it feels good to make it through a tough season together and intact.

In addition to all this, we're getting the kids ready for a new school year...basketball tourney, touring colleges for Nathan, getting backpacks and clothes. Another season begins as we continue on together.

There are times when in spite of the chaos and busyness, it just seems good to be thankful for the things in life that are so basic -- family, connection, love, health.
